Please Vote So You Can Share in the Blame

Tomorrow it will be over. Well....one phase of the whole mess will be anyway. The polls say that Obama is slightly ahead among the 20% of the people that didn't hang up on the pollsters. I'm not quite as convinced of Obama's chances seeing how he is running in a year that a Democrat should win by a slam dunk. Two wars. Imploding economy. Worse President in history. Plus Obama has spent more money than God trying to woo over the country. Tomorrow morning I will do something that I've never done before, something that I never would have believed I would ever do...vote for a Republican presidential candidate. It's not that I'm enthralled by McCain (only idiots worship politicians and celebrities), it's just that McCain looks magnificent against what Obama has to offer...or rather...what he hasn't got to offer. That plus there is just no way I can go with a candidate that is so misogynistic, homophobic, racist, and is arrogantly dismissive of just about everybody in the country.

But I can go either way.

I don't really think that there will be riots in the streets if McCain wins. First of all, those left in the Democratic party are a bunch of pussies. Bush stole the election....no protest. Invaded a country...no protest. Democrats gains control of Congress and continue to rubber stamp Bush...not a peep. Obama reverses on his liberal promises....nothing but crickets. The Democrats aren't going to do a thing. Certainly the majority of the Obama supporters, who think that civil action is wearing a t-shirt or putting a bumper sticker on their car, are not going to break out of their self-absorbed lives to do anything. Hell...I doubt most of them will bother to vote. McCain will be president and the Democratic Party will undergo a major overhaul, purging itself of the corrupt leaders that led this mess.

If Obama does win, that would be kind of nice in a weird sort of way. The reason would be that it would give the opportunity to spend the next couple of years sitting pretty in the "I told you so" seat. All this hopey dopey talk is great for speeches, but when the rubber hits the road is when reality set in....and it will be a shock for a lot of people. I lost a lot of friends because of this campaign. I've been called every name in the book. I've been banned from blogs I visited for years. I've even had death threats. I want to see these people eat crow when they find out what kind of snake they've forsaken all else to worship.

Either way...I'm cool. I've spent way too much time on politics which, I have concluded, is like banging my head against the ground. I'll post one more, very short, post when we have a new President. Then I will transform this blog to reflect other projects going on with myself.

My hope is that when all the smoke clears, we can all get back to being normal.

whatever that is

Well, that makes another one who's voting for personality or against personality over this issues.

You are no better than those who don't protest or vote. You are confusing this election with E-Harmony.com. It's a president we're voting for, not who's the most likeable. And yes, I know you're not the only one voting for the "most likeable".

About the Dems not protesting... where in the hell have you been all of these years? The Repubs may have louder voices (which is a good thing), but the Dems DID passionately protest against the wrongs committed. Why do you think FEMA handled the hurricanes so much better this time around? The Republicans are walking on egg shells because of the "liberal media" alone.

Wake up!

And where you get "misogynistic, homophobic, racist, and is arrogantly dismissive of just about everybody in the country" out of Obama is absolutely mind-boggling for me.

Racist? I want to see instances where Obama (not his "friends") was racist (by strict definition) to other human beings.

Misogynistic? Because he didn't select Hillary? LOL Are you serious? So, this means he hates all women as you suggest - even his wife and kids?

Homophobic? Obama supports civil unions amongst homosexuals. He supports civil unions that grant the same kinds of rights ordinarily given to heterosexual marriages, such as shared power of attorney and property, visitation in hospitals, and things of that nature. Yep. That sure sounds like a true homophobe!

Arrogantly dismissive of most people in the US? HOW?

Don't worry. Hillary will be running again in 2012 side by side with Palin. You can vote for her then and call all those that don't support her ideals misogynistic among many other mindless names just to release all that tension you got in ya. You betcha! ;-)

My first impulse is to argue with you, but then...what's the point? As I said, I'm good no matter who wins. My principles are intact. I will never be anybody's tool.

Enjoy your Messiah. Most that have come along disappoint in the end.

Wow, you really drink that kool-aid with pleasure don't you? Racist? Homophobic? Mysoginistic? You'r talking about Republicans per se, right? Because you must live in the moon if you think that characterizes Obama! People act as if hes the Messiah because they are fkng tired of this Republican Empire we've had these laft 40 years. So get your facts staright.

People act as if he's the Messiah because they are morons. Enough of them were around to put Bush into office so I reckon Obama has a good shot.

One more day. I'm not quite as optimistic as you, Jay. While I'm no big fan of McCain and foresee him doing some things I disagree with, I think we're in for a much rougher ride with the Obamessiah.
I think we're going to see exorbitant tax rates, massive restrictions on free speech & privacy (card checks) and socialism run amok. On the other hand, he won't see a second term unless this country just won't wake up.
We'll know in 36 hours...I hope.

Well, ya know what James? I disagree with a lot of things that McCain stands for. But he has proven that he will always put the interests of the country first. I trust him.

I wouldn't buy a glass of water from Obama if my hair was on fire.

I can't take credit for this but the prediction for the 2012 republican slogan (if Obama wins) is "Where's the Change?" Which of course has dual meaning. Either way I'm running against both parties in 2012...Screw the Republicans, it's my slogan.

And I don't get bloggers that ban other bloggers from their site just because they disagree. What is that??

Wake up and smell the coffee!

What you are getting now is the receipt for 8 years of incompetent, corrupt and criminal government by the Republicans under George W. Bush and Dick Cheney.

And if the Republicans keep choosing dimwits like Sarah Palin for highest national offices, they will stay out of the White House for a long time.

Unlike you...I live in this country. I have lived with an incompetent, corrupt, and criminal president for the last ten years. I was hoping for a change.

Obama is Bush with a tan.

BTW...why do you consider Palin a dimwit? I'm interested because, if you believe that, you must think Obama is a drooling idiot.

edit....only eight years....it just seems like ten
